Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society
The purposes of the Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society are scientific and educational and are directed toward the advancement of the understanding and appreciation of astronomy and related sciences among the Society members and the public at large.
Upcoming events:
July 21, 2025 @ 7:30pm – Monthly meeting at Virginia Western Community College in the STEM Building room 312. July’s program will be led by Cole Gregg, an astronomer specializing in small-body dynamics, interstellar objects, and planetary defense. His presentation will be about the possible presence of debris from the Alpha Centauri system in our solar system.
